Dinacharya - One Day Vedic Lifestyle
The term 'Dinacharya' means Daily regimen in accordance with the Vedic lifestyle. This regimen consists of attending to almost all the aspects of hygiene related to mind and body for rejuvenation of inner strength and vitality. You wake up with a prayer in Brahma Muhurta' a time frame close to sunrise, and then you need to answer the calls of nature and start an exciting new routine. |

Vaktra shuddhi - Oral Hygiene (5:30 am) -
Dantadhavana is a truly Vedic way of maintaining oral hygiene. A neem twig crushed at one end is used as a natural tooth brush, followed bv Cjarshana - gently rubbing a very special toothpaste made of aromatic herbs and spices mixed with pure honey. Jihwa Nirlekhana - Scraping the tongue gently with a traditional copper tongue scraper helps clear off the accumulated dirt on the tongue. Finally you need to gargle with a herbal mouthwash.
Ushah Paana (5:45 am) -
A freshly prepared herbal infusion is cooled overnight in a copper vessel and on the next dav it is filtered, mixed with a teaspoon of pure honey and given as a morning drink. This has a cooling effect on the body. After this drink you can start with a sunrise walk and then assemble at our Yoga Arena by 6:30 am.Yoga Session (6:30 am to 7:30 am) - Yoga is a
super science for management of mind and body, and in a single session though not much of its core concepts can be imparted, our sincere attempt is to introduce to you some of the Yogasanas or yogic postures that are of great benefit if followed and practiced regularly. This session consists of Survanamaskara (a set of 12 postures depicting salutation to the Sun God) and other asanas in sitting, standing and lying down postures, pranayama and meditation.
Abhyangam Shirodhara - A traditional Ayurveda
therapy along with the world renowned Shirodhara is given by expert personnel in a synchronised manner. A soothing instrumental music/Vedic chanting in the background makes this therapy the best way to de-stress yourself and unwind your nerves and relax. The herbal oils from Kerala used for this therapy are specific to your body type and the nature of ailments if any. After Abhyangam Shirodhara you get Karnapoorana -warm medicated herbal oil is dropped into the ears for maintaining health and prevention of ailments of ears, neck, jaws and headaches. Pratimarsha Nasya - a few drops of specific herbal oils - is applied deep inside the nostrils to enhance the physical health of the sense organs. |

Snana -
A herbal scrub bath to exfoliate the skin and secure the therapeutic values of the medicated oils used for the therapies.
Anjana -
Known as kajal in vernacular, consists of application of colliriyum made from soot of turmeric and pure desi ghee for cleansing the eyes.
Dhoomapaana - (Haridra dhooma)
An antiseptic and auspicious smoke generated from a burning wick made of pure turmeric is made for inhaling three times through each nostril and mouth to clear the accumulations in the nose, mouth and throat.

includes a consultation with the Ayurvedacharya for evaluating your health status and for customised counselling on diet, lifestyle and sleep habits.Residential programmes are offered as packages in multiples of 7 days for up to 5 weeks and beyond.
